ARTEC 21
Website built to promote the ARTEC 21 event in Tomar, Portugal. Designed and built by me and a friend from school.
ARTEC is an annual symposium with more than 20 years. It’s organized by the students attending the last year of the bachelor in Design and Graphic Arts Technology at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. Every year there are different topics approached by designers, teachers, students, etc.
Our target audience was everyone conected to graphic arts. We’ve chosen two neutral colours (black and grey) and blue. Blue is the predominant colour in this event.
The layout consists of an single page design with a menu that allows users to quickly scroll through the content. We used a different background colour for each section to make it easier to visually separate them.
It’s PHP behind the scenes and it uses jQuery to animate some elements.
