DTAG
We were proposed to redesign the website of the two courses offered by the Technology and Graphic Arts department of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. It had to be bilingual and written in HTML only.
Our aim was prospective students and curious people. We had to include all the important information about both courses: short description, degree plan, entrance requirements, career opportunities, student work/awards, related events and downloads.
We wanted to build something colorful! The background was a dark image to create a contrast with the content. The first page lets the user choose between the bachelor and the master page. It also has the latest related news.
Then, the whole website consists in an accordion style navigation: four main categories, each one with a menu on the left to scroll the content inside the opened accordion. It's very easy to navigate through the page. A sitemap is also present in order to make it even easier.
It is HTML-based and all the visual effects were made using jQuery.
This website was entirely designed and programmed by me and my friend João Augusto.
