ARTEC 21
ARTEC is an annual symposium with more than 20 years. It's organized by final year students of the bachelor in Design and Graphic Arts Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. Every year there are different topics approached by designers, teachers, students or just curious people.
Like all events, it had to get an online presence! A good one. The event promotion was all made by us (students) and the website had to be effective.
Our aim was all the people conected to graphic arts. We had to include a brief of the event, some news, who we were, the speakers, the event programme, related images/videos and our contact.
We have chosen two neutral colors (black and grey) and blue. The blue represents the event color. It consists in an one-page design with a top-fixed menu to scroll the content. We used different colors in the contiguous sections to make it easier to distinguish them while scrolling the page.
It is PHP-based and all the visual effects were made using jQuery.
This website was entirely designed and programmed by me and my friend David Vale.
